Antique Classic Flat Victorian mantel in French Rouge Royale marble with fluted capitals. Incorporating Belgian Black Marble details to cill, sub shelf and foot block mouldings.
The original simple lines of this fireplace still persist as one of the most popular fire surround designs ever made. This original dates from around 1880 to 1910. The fluted capitals of this surround became a more popular feature of later designs and indicate potentially later origin into the Edwardian period.
